We started the morning visiting the Volcano Masaya. It's last major eruption was 9 years ago. On a clear day lava can be seen at the base.
Saturday afternoon everyone went shopping and then we traveled by boat to Monkey Island on Lake Nicaragua. Lake Nicaragua is the sixth largest lake in the world. We stopped at Pizza Hut in Managua before taking the two hour bus ride back to Leon to pack.
Sunday Morning- Our flight leaves Managua airport at around 12:53 or 2:53 Eastern Time headed to Atlanta. Estimated time of arrival in Knoxville is around 8:30 Eastern but we should be in Atlanta by 6:40 Eastern if you need to call to check our status. Flight #1046 Atlanta to Knoxville.

I woke up this morning and had fresh, clean water to make coffee with.My family can take a hot shower if they want to,we can brush our teeth and put on clean clothes,we can go to the refrigerator and get fresh cold milk.I can go outside at 5:30 and there are no horse drawn trailers moving down the street. There is noone going to the neighbors house to buy warm milk from a sawed in half 50 gallon barrell.I have eggs in my refrigerator.I can put on shoes that fit and will protect my feet. Not a single person will ride there bike past my house as ther primary source of transprotation.I can carry my trash to the can and nobody will go thru it looking for anything. If it is too hot i can go inside and it will be 70 degrees with comfortable humidity. The city will not turn my water off for the day.I will not feel the least bit of hunger,if i do i can go to the fridge and pick what i want to eat.If iam still hungry i can eat more.I can take my choice of 3 vehicles to drive and will not have to walk anywhere. If i choose not to work my government will take care of me.When church day gets here i can choose between at least 10 air conditioned lighted indoor plumbing places to worship within 5 miles of my house.I will not see 1 person today that is hungry. No body will ask me for a dollar.
Please God help me to not take these things for granted any more. And please God be with the people of Leon.
My prayer is that I "remember to remember" - Lord, don't let me forget what I saw and experienced this week! Let me see through your eyes.
